The Home Edit with Lauren C Watson
Lauren Watson is an influencer based in Cheshire, England, where she shares a beautiful top floor flat with a gorgeous Bengal cat named Bella. Known for inspiring content about travel, fashion and beauty, Lauren sees home as her safe space, and we were thrilled to help her decorate with new pieces from Decadent Nights.
“Home is where the heart is!” she says. “It’s the place I feel most comfortable, and the place I can truly switch off. There’s something so special about coming back from travelling and being surrounded by all the little things that are personal to me. Waking up to the gorgeous views out the windows in the morning, the sun comes right through as I’m on the top floor and it’s honestly divine.”
Decadent Nights is a collection that Lauren describes as expressive and perfectly in line with her mantra. “This collection perfectly describes my personality and my interior style. Never take life too seriously!”
Picking pieces to elevate her space
“Art is one of the easiest ways to bring personality into a space and make it relevant to yourself, and I love the way it can be switched up so easily! The red tones in Decadent Nights are definitely sexy, and I love how that works in my apartment with the other textures.”
How did she pick the pieces for this shoot? “My space was quite a neutral canvas to start with, a few pops of zebra print dotted around so I really tried to add warm tones with the reds, burgundies and pinks. This also works going into the autumn season too. It’s so good being able to switch up your artwork so easily depending on the season.”
Art that describes her life philosophy
Her favourite space to decorate was the living room, which features period details like sash-and-case windows looking out over the rooftops, fishbone parquet flooring and a beautiful cast iron fireplace. “This is the biggest room in the apartment so I felt it was much easier to design this space specifically. I went for a really big statement zebra rug in there, which I feel looks great with the high ceilings, and then this is where the artwork really comes into play and adds extra fun.”
“There were two pieces that stood out the most for sure – the Polka dog, she is SO cute and works so well as a smaller print in my bedroom next to the large abstract canvas. And then the Average is Fuckin’ Boring couldn’t be more suited to me if it tried!!”
